Underwater gardening helping to restore Tasmania's lost kelp forests
Scientists in Tasmania are restoring giant kelp forests devastated by warming waters, which have destroyed 95 percent of the marine ecosystem in eastern Tasmania. An internship program at Eaglehawk Dive Centre trains participants to hand-plant kelp spores around the Tasman Peninsula during winter months.
