Tasmanian devils the winner from feral cat trapping effort
A feral cat trapping program led by West Tamar Landcare has resulted in a significant increase in the Tasmanian devil population around the Tamar River. Between May and June, volunteers captured and released 56 devils, free of the deadly facial tumour disease, marking a notable recovery in the species.
