Swimmers in Perth and Antarctic celebrate winter solstice with annual midwinter dip
Dozens of swimmers celebrated the winter solstice by plunging into icy waters in Perth and Antarctica over the weekend. More than 20 Australian Antarctic Program expeditioners braved -2C at Macquarie Island, while over 50 swimmers in Perth jumped into 10.8C waters at Bicton Baths. Temperatures dropped to a chilling 1C in some parts of Perth.
