Qantas receives its first ultra-long-range Airbus A350-1000 in Melbourne Friday for Project Sunrise flights between Sydney and London beginning October 2027. The 22-hour non-stop service will carry nearly 3,400 passengers daily in mostly economy seating with 33-inch legroom, slightly more than competitors.
