NSW Police charge 116 people during major retail crime crackdown across Sydney

NSW Police charged 116 people with 130 offences during a two-day crackdown on retail crime across Sydney shopping centres. Operation Percentile targeted shoplifting, assaults and intimidation at major precincts including Chatswood, Hornsby, Penrith and Parramatta. Police Superintendent Phil Hallinan declared "absolute zero tolerance" for assaults on retail workers, with over 400 people charged since October 2025.
