Geelong Gallery opens 'Discovering the Impressionists' exhibition with rare artworks

Geelong Gallery opened the exhibition 'Discovering the Impressionists: Paul Durand-Ruel' featuring over 70 paintings on October 5. Co-curated by Marianne Mathieu and Claire Durand-Ruel, the exhibition highlights Durand-Ruel's pivotal role in supporting impressionist artists, many of whom were once overlooked. Approximately one third of the artworks have not been displayed in public for over a century.
