Victorian government launches $2.5 million program to aid youth offenders

The Victorian government launched a $2.5 million program to embed youth workers in The Alfred and Royal Children's hospitals to assist injured youth offenders. The initiative aims to divert them from crime by offering support for housing, education, and rehabilitation. Violence Reduction Minister Sonya Kilkenny stated it is the first program of its kind in Australia.
