Yum Brands sells Pizza Hut for $2.7 billion to private equity firm
Yum Brands announced the sale of struggling Pizza Hut for $US2.7 billion to private equity firm LongRange Capital and Yum China Holdings. LongRange will acquire the chain's operations outside mainland China for approximately $US1.5 billion, while Yum China will buy the China business for $US1.2 billion. The deals are expected to close in the third quarter.
